If you mean people who appear at fundraisers and other charity events, no. They donate their time because they believe in the cause. Some charities or foundations may, now and then, hire a special guest or a band to perform at a fundraiser, and in that case, yes, they do get paid. Though quite a few of them donate their fee back to the charity.

If a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, then that makes me a burning truck filled with TNT hurtling through a rocket fuel depot.
