Hello all, What is use of natural stone ?
Natural stones are commonly used as materials to pave pathways and patios, driveways, fireplaces, flooring, countertops, walls, pools, waterfalls, and other surfaces.
Natural stone landscaping has become popular because of the versatility of these materials and their wide range of colors, shapes and textures. Natural stone landscaping can be incorporated in different styles of landscape design from rustic to classic or formal.
Natural stones are available at any masonry yards or building supply stores. Some examples of natural stones include cobblestones and pavers for walkways and driveways, crushed rock, cut stones, flagstone and Belgian blocks, marble, granite, soapstone, travertine, onyx, limestone, and slate.
The price of natural stones varies depending on your area and the area where the stone originated. For example, a ton of 1-inch thick Arizona flagstone costs around $200 while a ton of 1-inch thick Lompoc flagstone can cost a little over $300 and Nova Scotia flagstone runs a whopping $650.00 a ton. Pavers can cost around $11.00 per square foot and granite tiles 12" x 12" are approximately 5.00 a square foot and higher.
