Can you find the name of a film made about madrid ...

Can you find the name of a film made about madrid in the 80s (I think). It centres around a group of friends in their early 20s and I think it was made by an American?

Do you have more information about this movie? The only things I could come up with were "Historias del Kronen" and "El Albergue". One was made in the 90´s and neither one filmed by an American but both center around a group of friends.
