I am not sure if Apple IPod touch (3rd Generation) NEWEST MODEL is better or different than the 32 GB second generation but the Apple Ipod Touch (Third generation) newest model has 137 customers reviews and a 5 star rating at Amazon maybe that can help you check it out for yourself here http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002M3SOC4/?=tag=myclockworldc-20 but I own the Ipod touch third generation 32 gb and I like it, it is more than a mp3 player it is also a pocket computer it has Faster Cpu, double the ram, Better graphics. Faster Boot time and /faster loading. I never owned the 32 GB second generation.
