Barbara, yes you mother can be in Heaven. You stated she was a God fearing woman who read the Bible. I understand she was a christian who accepted Jesus as Lord. A person who commits suicide is not in control of there thoughts and actions. In order to commit a sin where you lose your salvation the person has to be in complete control of there actions. A depressed suicidal person who commits suicide are not in control of there actions. I'm a christian chaplain born and I prayed for your mother as I was typing this message. The Lord revealed to me that your mother was not in control of her actions because depressiod distorted her thought process. She was hurting and was only thinking of a way through her pain. She loved you dearly and you had nothing to do with her suicide so never blame yourself. Your mother will be judged on her relationship with the Lord before her suicids. Relax and live for Christ, read the Bible, accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, pray daily, and live a Christian life and you will see your mother in Heaven some day when the Lord calls you home.
