I love this stone and in general in the jewelry business, people are not tremendously forthcoming with details--a lot of stuff is proprietary... (Example: Rainbow Calsilica--you'll have to hunt to find info. Same thing.) Anyway I found this finally at the URL below which assuming it is true answers my assumption that there is some manufacture involved--not just naturally mined:


This colorful bracelet features mosaic Jasper, a new bead coming out of China, it is a composite bead made with Jasper and a resin base. They are very smooth and very colorful. I have also added some Howlite dyed coral rounds....
