I am in bankruptcy and missed a mortgage payment

Hi Diana.  You should contact the attorney who is handling your bankruptcy and let him/her know you missed the payment and the attorney should be able to advise you on what action you should take.  When in bankruptcy, it is very important to follow the plan presented to you by the bankruptcy clerk and you must advise the clerk and your attorney of any changes in your situation as promptly as possible.

When you are bankrupt, you must give the Official Receiver details of your finances, assets and creditors. Look after your assets and hand them over to the Official Receiver with the relevant paperwork, such as bank statements and insurance policies. Tell your trustee (either the Official Receiver or insolvency practitioner) about any new assets or income during your bankruptcy
