Anne Frank , the Jewish girl whose diary and death in a Nazi concentration camp made her a symbol of the Holocaust, was allegedly baptized posthumously Saturday by a member of the Church of Jesus ...
What's odd is that this complete myth of Hitler being an atheist persists. The fact is, he wasn't. He, Goering and Goebbels and a writer of a famous book on a strange Aryan religion, whose name I can't recall at the moment, created their own religion based on Norse mythology, Aryan concepts as laid down in the book I mention, and an odd hodge podge of occult beliefs. They were quite serious about this. Every member of the SS had to go through occult initiantion ceremonies in what can only be described as a temple built fo the purpose. It still stands and can be visited.
Their search for occult and religious objects of power such as the spear of Longinus is well known. Hitler was, in fact, raised Catholic. Rather than containing ateist pronouncements, Mein Kampf actually contains many statements which support Christianity, though in private, while Hitler was religious, he was extremely anti Christian. Almost as much as he was against Judaism. This is, I think, the source of the myth that he was atheist. Christians tend to believe theirs is the only religion in the wsorld, so if you ain't for em, you're an athiest. The facts are quite the opposite. Even the swastika, the symbol of the party, was borrowed from earlier religions which used it commonly as a religious symbol. But, as with the inverted pentagram, Hitler turned the symbol backwards.
You might want to take a look at books by Nicholas Goodrick-Clarke, such as The Occult Roots of Nazism and Black Sun. Or James Herbert Brennan's Occult Reich. Many documentaries have been made on the subject as well. The whole mess is so well known I'm amazed that people try to perpetuate the myth of Hitler being an atheist. I suspect it is an attempt to distance Hitler from any religion, especially Christianity, as well all know more horrors and atrocities have been committed in the name of religion than for any other reason.
Bonestructure, I was alive during WWII. I can remember it as though it were yesterday. The trauma of that madness is that severe as it should be for any man of good conscience, faulted as I am.
When a group becomes so severely apostate that their "structured beliefs" no longer accommodate reason and they change their stand as rapidly and radically as politics required, then rest assured, it is a religion that can only be considered an outright lie.
Hitler may have been a nominal Catholic at some time in his youth but he soon enough became apostate and then turned on what he once believed. That is the path of descent common to the modern day anti-theist cult (extremist atheism). These people are so duplicitous that no one can take them seriously: it is only a self-serving game that changes minute by minute.
By any reasonable and rational definition, that includes a fair view of history, Bonestructure, that is atheism.
It hasn't improved one bit since.
