Go to the AOL account screenname you opened the account with...after you sign on...click on Settings in your upper AOL taskbar...scroll down to Manage My Account...and click on Billing. Once you get there...choose the option FREE AOL...and then save. If you want...you can then delete your billing information so they don't even have it anymore...to bill you. The only thing about FREE AOL though...is you don't get help on issues...

If you have broadband (DSL or cable) then you can go to keyword PRICE PLAN, (or Help, Manage my Account), Change my AOL plan, to get on the free plan. If you are on dial-up, you can't get free AOL, but you can get a plan for $11.99 .
