Create a section where people can pay to have questions answered by professionals.

With google adsense, and amazon associates.

The way I see it, is the more people that use Yedda, the more ads will be clicked on.

The key is community, perhaps members can make money as they answer questions...maybe one dollar every 5 questions answered.

But this would be gamed, because I could have two user spaces, and just ask myself basic questions all day long.

Maybe you only make money on questions you have been invited to answer, but still if I game it enough, I will be invited to answer questions I ask from another user space.

Anyway the key is to generate membership, perhaps Yedda can market themselves to listservs, these places have lots of members and experts.

How would this work...is this if they are not satisfied with an answer they could ask the professional section for an authoritative answer with references and perhaps a small report.

Some people do not want ad-hoc answers to certain questions.  Example: Do I need to see a doctor about this rash(insert pic).  Asking a five dollar question that will be answered by a doctor who makes a 50% cut is a lot cheaper than going to the doctor to ask and paying $60.  Yedda would still make $2.50 on the question.  This is worth a lot more than a $.10 click through ad.  While ads are nice for extra revenue, it is hard to base a company off of Google ads and really be taken seriously.
