With the ease of the pay day loan is it just as easy to get caught up in a cycle of endless loans and paybacks with getting continuously higher loan amounts until you can't stop using the system as you can't afford to pay all back at once because of your other bills?

You've hit the nail right on the head. The payday loans I've seen have rates in the 90%+ area. I've also heard from people who get caught up in them as you described and they say that these loan companies are ruthless in their attempts to collect. My suggestion is to look elsewhere. Be creative. For example, sell a car to get some cash out and buy a more affordable one or sell some old jewelry. Good luck.

I've found that there are many online calculators and https://www.paydayloantree.com is a good source of information you are looking for. This is where the lenders get information on a need for a payday loan. You can try their calculator and the list of lenders.
