Mold in my humidor

I've recently found mold in my humidor. I have owned it for only 3-4 weeks. Any advice?

First of all you should remove all infected cigars and clean the interior of your humidor with denatured alcohol. Check your relative humidity level, mold develops when the humidity exceeds 80%.

Mold is a sign that you have used water with minerals. You should always use distilled water in your humidor as the water does not contain minerals that allow molds to grow. All you have to do is carefully wipe each cigar with a sligtly moist towel (moist from distilled water only). Then once again use a moist towel to lightly remove the mold from the humidor's interior. Make sure that it is slightly moist as if it is damp it will stain the cedar interior (if the humidor has a cedar interior). Take the humidifier and wash it with distilled water. That should remove the bad water that you were using. Good luck.
