Should MLB step in on teams that constantly don't try to put a competitive team year in and year out? Look more carefully who is allowed to run a club with a track record of not quitting on their company or team?

Yes. Any teams in particular that you are referring to? There are plenty of cities that would love to have a major league team. MLB should tell the owners of a team if they are not willing to be competitive; there are plenty of others that are willing to pay the price.

Have you ever noticed that anybody driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac?

But what about teams like the Cubs.  They aren't competitive, but they fill the stands every game.  The Chicago Cubs merchandise sells as well as anywhere.  They make money for the team and money for all the other teams that play them.  This is a business don't forget.  There is no one left in the sport "for the love of baseball".

I think that they should. All you ever hear is how the Yankees and the Red Sox have this huge unfair advantage over all the other teams but the facts don't show that. I saw on Mike and Mike the other day where they were saying that of all the three major sports, baseball, football and basketball, Baseball had the most numer of different teams in the playoffs over the last 10 years. Which only goes to prove that spending money helps but ultimately it is how you spend your money more than how much you spend. Small  market teams do very well in baseball, the obvious exception is Pittsburgh and Kansas City.

I don't wish to be argumentative ,but I disagree with the Islamic belief that I should be killed! " If radical atheists decided they needed to kill believers to ensure their place in nothingness, I'd be criticizing that too."

It's a bad market now .Look at all the problems the rangers are having. They draw good .They played good this year too

I think if there is going to continue to be profit sharing the money should be totaly spent to make the team better.  If not than I think the league should step in.

the Pirates and the Marlins. but once the owner is there they cannot make him sell the team.

Steve, once again you show your ignorance. The worst team since 1900 still won 36 games and you think the Yankees won't even win 20? Why don't you bet your life savings on that, numbnuts? And BTW, I hate the Yankees but they'll win a lot more than 20 games. Guaranteed 100%.
