The purpose of a Pastor's Aide Ministry is to provide supplementary support to a pastor and his family. The goal is to show appreciation to the pastor for his leadership and his spiritual guidance. Gifts can be either monetary or non-monetary, and are given on such occasions as birthdays, anniversaries, vacations, etc. Membership is open to anyone who chooses to participate.

The ministry is established to especially pray for the well being of the Pastor and to support him when he is going somewhere else to preach or teach -- if possible, travel with him; if not possible to go with him, the Pastor's aid Ministry should see that the Pastor has what he needs to make his trip; they should make his load lighter in every sense of the phrase, e.g. financially and spiritually. When it is his birthday, the Pastor's Aid Ministry should take the helm in initiating a celebration for his birthday and anniversary as pastor of the church. A Pastor's aid ministry also does the same for the pastor's wife and children, when applicable.
