Mining can have numerous effects on the environment.

- Ground Water Acidification

- Loss of Habitat

- Visual Impact

Problem is most of the stuff we use comes from a mine indirectly, electricity comes from coal (which is mined), cars come from stell (iron, which is mined) even the batteries in a toyota prius have lithium in them. . which is mined.

Hard to avoid.
