Mrmess7, you're a moron.  That's like saying if you ride in a car you're going to die. If you walk down the street you're going to die.  If she wears the proper equipment and is taught properly how to ride safely and how to take a fall, she will be fine.  There may be some broken bones, but that's just part of it.  If you can't afford the possible hospital trips then don't do it.  I have a friend that has ridden for many years and never broke a bone.  We were playing softball and he dove for a catch and broke his shoulder.  Accidents can happen anywhere.  I say let her try it.  If she doesn't like it you can always sell the bike
