www.methadoneassistance Hi I recently lost my job of 7 years that had no benefits. I was addicted to heroin for several years until I reached a breaking point in my life. I then admitted myself into an methadone out patient program wich helped tremendously. I was in treatment for almost 6 years but since I had no benefits from my job I was paying $80 dollars a week. Now that I have no income I had to detox from methadone at a very fast rate. I had tried to get help from a government funded program called pace and they refused helping me. If anyone knows of other options I could try please let me know. THANK YOU duntcr2@aol

Joe,you might try dfax, department of family and children services, they help people with low or no income,and you might benefit from going to a pain clinic if you can grt on some kind of assistance like medicaid which they offer to people with no income or medical insurance, it's very dangerous to go off durgs at a fast rate. lot's of luck to you Joe. I am a firm beliver to live and let live a lot of people are into judging people who are different from themselves, like being gay, being over weight, people judge other people from outward apperance, when all that matters is what's in youe heart, my favorite saying is "Let him who is without sin cast the first stone" It is only God's right to judge everyone not ours. thanks Rita60
