Hi,

You need to clarify this with your divorce lawyer just to be sure.

Be honest and be true to yourself.

Depends on your state laws, but I have a friend in a similar situitation and they are not allowed to have the address but can have the phone number.  Just make sure  you keep paying the child support because then you can cover yourself.

Not necessarily.

You pay child support so that your child will have food, housing and education. This is for your child, the choice of giving you that information is up to the mother. It's 2 different issues.

I don't know in what stage of your divorce you are, but if it's not finalized, then the court agreement you have with your ex (or if you were not married, the court agreement you have with the mother of your child) can indicate your visiting rights and contact details with the child. If the mother broke that agreement by not letting you see the child or contact with them, you can take her back into court and insist that you get ot see your child and know where they are.

This will require a good divorce lawyer.

Even if you intend to take the mother into court, never stop paying child support, just because she broke agreements doesn't mean your allowed to do that as well.

Hello,

I am going through child support issues now.  Having the right to have the address and phone number depends on what was agreed to regarding visitation.  If you are suppose to have visitation, you are, by law, suppose to have the address and phone number of where the child lives.  If you hav joint custody, you are suppose to get school records, such as report cards, doctors information, etc.  I know this because I was required to give this information to the non-constodial parent.  If you are paying child support and have not soght visitation, you need to.  You didn't give too much information, so I don't know if you were denied visitation or if you live out of state, etc. However based on your question, I am led to believe that there is no court order for visitation.  Once you seek visitation, you will be able to get that information.  Unless the courts tell you otherwise because of some domestic issue.  Nevertheless, go about it the right way.  I feel if you are stepping up to the plate to pay child support, you should be able to see your children or know where they lay their heads at night.  Right now my kids dad is facing 3 felony counts for non payment of child support, so it is important that you continue to pay, but I would suggest going to family court or seeking consultation from a lawyer.  Although we appreciate your question, this should be better answered by a lawyer.  I don't know your state, but we have free legal aid here for child support and visitation issues, so please seek that out and ask questions.  I wish you the best of luck!!   Take care.

Do I pay child support even if my child no longer lives with her

You are obligated to pay child support until you have the court ordered amended. You could likely do so if your child is no longer living with the custodial parent, but if you simply stop paying on your own you could be found in contempt of court.
