Solution 1: Use the Adobe Flash Player Uninstaller to remove previous versions of Flash Player.

Follow the instructions in How to uninstall the Adobe Flash Player plug-in and ActiveX control (tn14157) to download and run the Adobe Flash Player Uninstaller.

Run the Adobe Creative Suite 4 or Point Product installation again.

Solution 2: Manually remove the Flash Player product code that is preventing the installation.

Important:  The steps below assist you in manually deleting the most common installer entries that cause this error message.  The key reference is for Adobe Flash Player.


The Administrators group listed below is the default local administrative group for Windows XP and Vista.
