Will medical insurance pay for gum surgery due to an infection?

I hope by now the infection was taken care off with antibiotics prescribed by a physician,however if your condition is pyorrhea destroying your gums and be inflamed constantly,surgery will be required.Most oral surgeons do not accept or are enrrolled in any insurance program but you must check it as some do cover dental dependent oy who is the employer and what extent of coverage they provide.If you are on state sponsored health coverage it does but you have to call the local medicaid officce to get the names of participants in the program.

Also remenber that a medical check up is necesary as gum disease is also a side effect of some medicines like anticonvulsants (epilepsy)or are associated to other internal illness.
