This is what I thot of me when, after reading your post, I felt that I should say that you are immature.

Silly, me. Your feelings are quite normal for a 12 year old.

The only thing that comes to my mind at present is to suggest that you pick one concrete thing and start here.

For example, my mom took my cell phone.

Now-

  1. Did you pay for the cell phone?
  2. Was the cell phone a gift? If so, from whom?
  3. Who pays the monthly bills?
  4. How did this make you feel? Try not to use more that one or two words to answer this.
  5. Have you asked your mother what the reason is that you are currently not in possession of the phone? And if she cannot give a direct, sensible answer, then she may well have issues. This is what I would consider an acceptable answer. My child, you do not do your homework and your grades are suffering. And this is an unacceptable answer. Shut up, I'm in charge and your just a kid.

Good luck on this one. You have an opportunity to work on your maturity here.

honestly i think it is the most helpful answer. The deal was if I babysat My 2year old brother, almost every day of the week, from 6-8, I got a cell phone. I used to get payed 20$ a week. But they said they would buy me a phone if I gave that up and they would pay for it. And I am VERY mad about this. I have this guy that likes me and I like him (alot) and we text like crazy and now he thinks I dont like him and Im mad at him because I dont text him.. :(

At face value, it looks as if your parents have abrogated their part of a verbal contract.

I am guessing that your parents are behaving this way because their character is less than ideal. I do my very best to live by the motto that my word is my bond. Certainly, this is a disappearing quality these days. The reason they wish to control your use of the phone is that they wish to control your life. They have no desire for some village idiot that is young, dumb, and full of cum to impregnate you. And I cannot say that I blame them, even if their evaluation of your friend is incorrect.
