He appeared in Murder She Wrote and Matt Houston. No Magnum PI.

In 1980, Baer shot a pilot for a series called "The Asphalt Cowboy" in which he played a crime fighter.  His co-star was Noah Beery, Jr., who had just finished co-starring on "The Rockford Files".  The series went unsold.

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.
