What is 1/4 (W-6) = 6
It's easier if you start by multiplying by 4 to get w-6 = 24
True, but I see distribution and I distribute!
If you need to have an expression with w and not 1/4 w, it's easier to multiply first. And it avoids fractions.
I know, but manipulating fractions of that nature in your head has value in and of itself. I am thinking college algebra, or calculus II.
Anyway, we mediocre mathematicians need some excuse when we do not see the, shall we say, efficient way!
