He was the pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was one of the most influential people in America.  He carried the message of Christ to all who would hear it and worked tirelessly to end the injustices that minorities in America suffered.

I was one of the white Christians who stood alongside him and offered to take a bullet for him considering the racists who opposed his message.  Most threats came from Black Muslims, because they had exploited racism to such a degree to make money.  They depended on hate and racism was their chosen means to maintain it.

As it turns out, a white racist actually delivered the fatal shot to Dr. King.  I did not know why he asked me not to share his room that night as his bodyguard as I had so many nights before.  He saw it coming.  Nothing could have kept him from completing his destiny.

Knowing Dr. King I wanted to forgive James Earl Ray for what he did but you know his end as well as I do.

I will never forget what he said.  "Thank God Almighty, we are free at last."

Know that if one person faces hatred, we all face it.  If one person suffers racism, we all suffer it.  If one person endures atheism, we all endure it.

Dr. King laid down his life to put an end to hate.  He accomplished a miracle: God used this man mightily and now King is with the King of Kings.
