He doesn't break with his family! so he doesn't love his own safety and peace so you have to love yourself first and move out!

This will never stop and if he says that he will separate better his life... it will come back in time to be all over and over the same because it is his relatives.

My family it's similar to his so I moved very far away and they still cause me trouble.... So I told if they want to keep talking to me just don't get me involved into their drama if not I have to move 100% out of their life but not everyone it's the same. Maybe he needs more his troubled relatives then you.
