Malware or malicious software is just another name for software designed to infiltrate or damage a computer system without the owner's consent.

The expression is a general term used by computer professionals to mean a variety of forms of hostile, intrusive, or annoying software or program code.

Software is considered malware based on the perceived intent of the creator rather than any particular features. It includes computer viruses, worms, trojan horses, spyware, adware, and other malicious and unwanted software .

Of course any anti-virus software will "kill" most of the malware.

If you're talking about malware as a phenomenon, I agree, it will probably stay forever. It may take different forms (probably more towards social engineering as the security of software will improve over time) but it will not die in the foreseeable future in my opinion.

If you're talking about specific viruses or spyware that can't be removed from the computer -- I think there are a few of those, but I never encountered them yet, only heard about them.

malicious software, software designed specifically to damage or disrupt a system, such as a virus or a Trojan no it can be killed by using some anti malware
