I think that not every school in the United States has decided not to teach cursive. Furthermore, I think that children who are not being taught cursive in school can certainly learn it at home, from their parents.

Learning is a lifelong process. It does not take place only between the hours of 8:30 and 3:00. If the school doesn't give your child the education you want him to have and you cannot afford to send him to a better school, then find a way to teach him yourself.

Isn't that what parents are supposed to do anyway?
