Girl... you've got to spice it up!  Go out with him... kiss him like you really mean it.  Torture him a little.  Dress up.  Make it a real date... not a, we've been together awhile and we are out to eat, kind of date.

You know what to do... I'm sure you did it early on.  Go back to the basics and you'll be just fine.

Hi Clare ,  Sensual intimacy starts out of the bedroom .   Guide him , tell him what you want and need .   Tell him you want to feel loved , sexy and desired by him .  You have been with him for two years surely he knows there's a problem and your needs are not being met .

You received excellent answers (thumb up, each).  I would like to add several comments:
1.  Please take into acount that not all people have the same
     attitude towards sex.   Some need it much and very
     frequent and some need it little and from time to time.  If
     he is very different from you (at that point) you'll end being
     frustrated and unsatisfied. 
2.  Any good relation is based on 4 pillars: Trust + Openess + 
     Communication + Respect.  After 2 years together you
     should be able to discuss (openly) that matter (and any
     other issue that bothers you !).  If he cares about you
     and your needs he'll do something.
3.  At the same time try to find what he is missing, what he
     is expecting, what are his sexual dreams..... and do what
     he  likes best.
4.  Introduce more "spices" to your relations.  E.g: Tell him
     that today you'll be the queen and he has to obey to all
     your wishes.  He'll sure agree.  Now "guide" him to do
     exactly what you desire.
5.  He is probably bored !.  Break it !.  Do some unexpected
     things (in bed)....  don't make him feel it's every time the
     same.  Try new possitions, play games, new dresses, try 
     sex toys (only if you both like it), try different places....
6.  Sex is not only the action itself.  It starts long before bed. 
     talk to him about sex.  Tell him what you feel when you
     have sex.  Find the words that will turn him on....
7.  If you really want a change be pro-active and "help" the
     change happen.

Thank you Claire for your ages and yes please do keep us posted .  You are right anyone can have sex , and having sex is not the same as making love. Big difference ... guide and talk to him .

So what is important with you now, the love or the sex? I know sex is very important spice of the relationship but we can not force our partner to do so if they can't. Why don't some move to seduce him/her to be more active in sex, like flirting or watching sex scene movies.

Just TALK to him, tell him what you just said and let him explain. Maybe it's time for a change and he doesn't know how to tell you.
