I am a retired makeup artist, and I think I can help you.......

First off, you must stop thinking that you 'have' to make people buy your product...that's the wrong approach.

Selling is a partially mental process; what you keep in your mind while you are dealing with your customers will reflect in your tone of voice, the look on your face, etc..

What you want to practice doing is this; when you are telling someone about the product, and have it in your hand, keep this thought in the back of your mind:

'This lady has already bought this product that I am offering her; now, all I have to do is to tell her how to use it and get the most out of it"!!!!

I know it sounds crazy, but, in time, it will help you......thinking this way, as I said, relaxes you and makes you a better sales rep.....

Also, when you are showing a product, no matter how expensive or inexpensive it is, treat it with respect!!!!!  Don't handle it like it was a bunch of bananas or a bag of apples!!....it is a product that has a lot of money behind it; in research, packaging, etc..........treat your products with respect.......PRESENT the product as you place it in their hands; don't just hand it over to them.......but of course, don't overdo it, either.

Learn as much as you can about the correct color products for your customer's skintone......this is VERY important......Learn about PROPORTION.....for example, the proportion of the size of the eyebrow to their face.....MANY MANY ladies have their brows WAY TO SMALL OR THIN for their facial size!!!!!......

Oh I could go on and on, but if you just start with these things, you will help yourself  to more and more sales as time goes on!!

And, also important LEARN EVERYTHING ABOUT EVERY PRODUCT YOU ARE CARRYING......no matter what someone asks you about a product, you, as a sales rep, should KNOW all about it; how to use it, what it does, etc., etc.

If you treat selling Mary Kay as just a little pastime, that's the results you will get; but if you treat selling Mary Kay products as a full time career, whether you spend a lot of time on it or not, those are the results you'll get; more sales and a reputation for being a thoughtful, knowledgeable sales consultant!

If the product which you are selling is trusted brand & product then there is no hassle in it. If the person who looking out for skin care product he will buy it.

Just do what you think & love, Never change yourself for any one.
