Discuss kthrnrm's answer to: Im lost in my own head

hi, my name is katelyn. i care for mymother who suffers with borderline personality disorder and severe anxiety, i also care for my brother who has learning difficulties and a sister who have a bad ...

Wise words bonestructure, Katelyn listen up and do what he says. You need some relief from the tremendous amount of stress placed on you, and you need a life of your own. You have to have an outlet somewhere or you are going to blow sky high. How you have taken it this long is beyond me. You must be one of the strongest people on earth, but even the strongest will crack if the pressure isn't released eventually. You need a break, and you need it now. Find a good therapist, not only can they help you unload emotionally, but maybe they can connect you with some agencies that can offer you support and guidance and help with your family. What you are doing is not a one man job, you need several people helping you out. Quit trying to carry the whole load, it's going to destroy you. Anyone you can reach out to do so, relatives, neighbors, a pastor, friends. You need help with this issue and there has to be someone who can give you a hand. Don't be afraid to ask for help, if people think you have everything under control, they fear offering help for fear of offending you, as if you can't handle it. Let it be known, you can't and you do need help, you might be surprised at all the lending hands you get if you just ask.

Life is one big roller coaster ride. Enjoy the highs, and forget the lows. You only get ONE ride.
