Turn the key in the ignition.  Leave it on for about 10 minutes.  If that doesn't work, leave it on for another half an hour.  Make sure you have a fully charged battery before you do this.  I switched ignitions on my Dodge Ram truck and that is what I did.  The new key programs itself to the computer.  It worked for me.  Maybe it will work for you.  Good Luck.
