Best way to lose weight is to become aware of what and how much you're eating.  Realize the actual serving size of the foods you eat and try to stick to the food pyramid in obtaining your daily requirements and stop eating fast foods--a burger combo at your local McD's is something like 5000 calories--more calories than many should eat in several days...
