If you have arthroscopic surgery, which is the way it is done most of the time, you should be back to work in under a week. This of course depends on the type of work you do.

I was back at work in two weeks, recovered pretty well in a month. Though where they went in at the bellybutton still got some twinges now and then for almost a year, but they were nothing much.

If a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, then that makes me a burning truck filled with TNT hurtling through a rocket fuel depot.

I simply cannot recommend arthroscopic surgery. The gall bladder is no where near a joint. I had arthroscopic surgery on my knee (total meniscectomy) and the result were fabulous. I was limping on it the same day.

Laparoscopic removal of the gall bladder is definitely the way to go.

So. What did your doc say?
