At 2.5 mph and walking 10 hours a day, it would take over 100 years.

It depends on the speed one is walking and the speed is dependent on one's powers, the surface condition, number of breaks one takes.  Assuming one will walk an average of 2 MPH continuousely, 12 hours each day it will take 500,000 hours, thast means over 114 years..... if one lives that long...... and do nothing else but walking.......
