Discuss Leslie's answer to: How long will God talk to you without an answer?

I remember as a child my Pastor telling me that God will only knock on the door of your heart for so long without an answer. Does anyone know what verse that is? Or where I could find it?

If you are seeking God, then He has not turned His back on you.  The Bible states that God will give reprobate sinners, scoffers and mockers over to their own desires.  The kind of person God does not try to reach is one who is determined not to be reached.  However, if you think Christ is reaching out to you, you should explore that with someone who knows the Bible.  God can and wants to do amazing things in your life if you accept Him and you do not want to miss His blessings.
