in an adult what is wrong if you continue to wheeze after updrafts or when i cough i get in so much respitory distress before I can get back to my machine. i get so short of breath just walking slowly in the store. I was just diagnosised with asthma 5 yrs ago and I am 52 now. I was a smoker for about 25 yrs. I am on duoneb updrafts and xopenex updrafts and albuterrol inhaler as needed. I was on prednisone several times after my diagnosis and packed on 65 lbs to my already overweight body. I am now rocking on 300 lbs for a 5ft2in female. what else can I do? Please advise. Iam scared.
