I thank it both hope that help out

There is no proof that one is born homosexual. Some time ago it was claimed they found a "gay gene". That was shown to be untrue.

One can choose to be gay as a trendy fashion statement, but true homosexuals are born that way. It has nothing to do with being trendy or in style, it has to do with one's preference for the same sex as a result of genetics. I never used to believe it, until I had a GAY DOG, that I loved more then anything in this world. But he was born gay and died gay. And that's the bottom line.

Are you equating  dogs with humans?

Yes, because for all the naysayers that claim homosexuality is a learned trait or a choice, that is not true. Scientists are now studying animal behavior in an attempt to unravel the mystery in humans. It has been found that many different species exhibit homosexual behavior, proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that it is a genetic trait. For some humans it is not a choice, it is just the way they are wired genetically.

Years ago I to was naive enough to believe that it was a chosen lifestyle, that could be changed if the individual really wanted to change, until I had a gay dog that is. My male Golden was not the least bit interested in females, not even when they were in heat! (He preferred males.) Now this is supossed to be one of the strongest instincts for basic survival, along with food and shelter. So if that's the case, something in my dog's genetic make up was wired differently from the usual male. And so with humans. The why or how hasn't been discovered yet, but they are working on it.

A person can engage in any kind of behavior if he or she chooses.  But a person who is "truly" gay has no choice, at least no choice as to his or her natural inclination toward his or her own sex.  Just a nature glitch of some sort, not understood now as to the exact cause, but easily recognized.  But, people are people, good, bad, and should have all the rights and privileges that go along with being human.

Right on WWWW? It's about time people wake up to the fact that we are not all "wired" the same. There are so many variations, but we all need to  be treated with respect regardless of color or sexual orientation or any other GENETIC difference over which WE have no control. To put someone else down just because they are not exactly like ourselves or what we think they should be, is the only abomination of nature I know.

Just read today that the APA (The American Psychological Association) declared Wednesday (yesterday) that mental health professionals should not tell gay clients they can become straight through therapy or other treatments.

In a resolution by the APA's governing council, the association issued its most comprehensive repudiation of "reparative therapy"--a concept espoused by a small but persistent group of therapists, often allied with religious conservatives, who maintain gays can change.

The resolution stated that no such evidence exists and was adoped by a 125 to 4 vote.

Anyone who been around awhile knows, for a fact, that true gays are born.....and you have to wonder that in 2009 why it takes a vote to note the obvious.
