Im Calif. if you have a classic car you can register it with period plates.

call DMV California  @ 1-916-657-8035. To use the PAIR of license plates u have in california!!!   What year is ur  car?   What color is ur plates and what color are 552 ?    if car 1969 older u can register!!  1963-69 black plates these are called (YOM) year of manufacture  BUT! u will need a year colored tag for the year of ur car . randallalt@aol.com hope this helps
