Discuss Balrog's answer to: Why do liberals hate diesel cars?

I don't know what liberals think about them one way or the other.  I just don't like the noise they make, sounds like the engine is going bad even when it's running great.  And, I don't much care for the smell of diesel exhaust fumes.
