Hi Marilyn,

As long as we are here on this earth there will be prejudices; Not just black on black or white on white. I think that in the crimes where people turn on their own it is not prejudice but jealousy.

I am African American and it breaks my heart to see my people turn on each other and commit crimes against their own brother. I am hoping that our new president address some of these issues, and we can openly discuss race and not sweep it under the rug. I attribute some of the black on black crime, to babies having babies and the children do not have the proper role model in the home. This lead to the children finding acceptance outside of the home, which may not be the best influence on them. This leads to drugs, prostitution and an array of other crimes. They get hooked on drugs, then comes the robbery to support the drug habit and the breaking an entering. I cannot address other ethnicities because of course I am black. It breaks my heart to see kids without a focus on life. I hope they can see how Obama carries himself, how he treats his family and the love he has for them. I hope they focus on education, knowing that if he could make it, so can they, if they want it bad enough.

As in the case of Sarah Palin, I think they made her the scape goat.

Yes they sure have! And none of the democrates have anything to say about sarah palin. Or in that fact; john mccain. Their own people (republicans) threw them under the bus. And now, you can clearly, know where the kul klux klans come from. To this day, they didn't care how stupid the mccain/ palin attacted their own people or the lies that came out of there mouths, or when truth slaps them in their own faces. Then still wanted to vote for a white person. Because they are comfortable with it. But is horrified of change! The forgotten there's more different nationalities that's here! More than whites!!! So after all these people been spit on, kick on, and things they tried hard to keep and gotten it taken away from them like jobs, and life little necessities, homes, the people the repubicans forgotten about. These are the ones who wanted who refuse to let things stay the same!!! They are the ones that didn't want mccain/ palin  to forget them again. Don't the dickless wonders understand, there's more homeless, poor, jobless people out here than you can shake a stick at. And whatever the republicans did in the dark was shown in the light. So being honest was very hard for them to come by. And that's why they all should stick together! The ones that don't like the president, then don't accept anything from him, and count on your repubicans to help you out. Isn't that fair?      Marilyn
