If you want to know your legal rights and responsibilities. please speak to an attorney.

But in my opinion, if your husband is truly abusive and you need to go to a shelter in order to escape him, I doubt you can get into any legal trouble for doing so.

P.S. You might check with the national domestic violence hotline to see if they can answer this question for you, or advise you how to find the answer. Try www.ndvh.org.

You are the one battered and any good shelter should be very helpful in directing you to the proper authorities. If not go to a social services agency tehy are trauned to help you and have the connection and can advise yiou on how to proceed.

In todays age no man (I am a men and a father too) has teh right to be abusive and should be dealt with very severly even if it menas jail. Some men don't seem to understand hw to behave in todays society and must be taught, by force if needed.

I live for today (especially since three years ago I almost got killed by a car that ran over me while I rode my bike) since I never know when it may be my last one. I enjoy life to the fullest and never let anyone tell me what I can not do (usually they are just jelleous) otherwise I wouldn't do lots of things. I only live once and and want to experience as much as possible of what the world has to offer. At the same token through my writing and photography I try to share soem of my experiences with others so they can vicariously experience what they otherwise may be unable to do. What's the sense of living if you can't enjoy life?
