how can someone seize any property or anything of monetary value without first suing you?..I received a certified letter from the Kentucky Revenue Service stating that they were going to seize property and anything of monetary value such as bank accounts and Federal Taxes. They took my State taxes earlier this year and they said that they were able to do that because I was a State Employee. I am no longer a State Employee and they sent me this letter.

If you owe the state money they have the right to seize anything of monetary value to satisfy the debt.  That includes property.  They can also seize your Federal taxes, too.   They do not have to sue you.  They probably got the necessary information needed to confiscate assets from info you gave them during the time you were employed by the state and not necessarily current employment.

You may have to hire a lawyer to help you with your concern. Generally, the State has the right to seize property for any unpaid taxes or debts.
