Discuss Ol' Yeddar's answer to: Legal rights to dog

My daughter brought me a dog (originally registered in WY to her but now expired) for me to watch in MD. I hae had the dog for 9 mos. She wants to take this dog (border collie) back to the city of ...

What to do? What to do?

I know! We could employ the Solomonic solution. Cut the dog in half, then each of you could have part of it. It would be good to decide if you want to split it side to side or end to end before the cutting gets started.

Or if you don't cotton to that idea, you could take the dog to the park, have a neutral party hold the dog on a leash. Each of you walk 100 paces. Have the dog turned loose and see who he goes to.

I must ask you to understand that I have only offered these well thot out and considerate options because you have not replied to either of the other two posters which makes me think that you do not like their suggestion to return to dog to its owner.

Keep close to Nature's heart... climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean.* Victims of circumstance owe it to fate. Victims of choice owe it to themselves.*One of the widest gaps in human experience is the gap between what we say we want to be and our willingness to discipline ourselves to get there.
