Her battle with drug and alcohol addiction as well as breast cancer . She brought breast cancer to the fore front. She gave hope and a voice to others with the disease . The establishment of The Betty Ford Center for drug and alcohol abuse .  She didn't worry about being PC . She said what she thought many times going against her husbands beliefs as well as his party .  And of course the famous button . " Vote for Betty's Husband "  AP is right she was one classy lady . I am sadden by the news of her passing .
