Why are the leaves on my Bonsai plant still turning yellow ?

When I first received a Gardenia Bonsai plant, it seemed OK, but then I noticed some leaves turning yellow and then noticed webbing on the leaves and discovered spider mites. I bought some spray at the hardware that covered spicer mites. After spraying one time, they were still there the next day, so I sprayed it again. Still didn't take care of it. I then mixed up some dishwashing detergent and water and sprayed the leaves really got with that. So far, I've not seen any more mites, but I'm still having problems with yellowing of leaves. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks! tallentad@aol.com
