You warn his family about what he has threatened to do about hurting himself. Warn his pastor or doctor or anyone else you think can help.  Then you go ahead and leave.  He is using this as a manipulation against you trying to force you to stay.  It is childish and immature. You have the right to move on with your own life if you want to. Good luck to you. I wish you happiness.
