Some pets are illegal in Ohio:

There is a breed of dog that is always severely depressed called the Melon Collie.  Avoid this breed as it is always so pessimistic.

Sammy-

I really have no idea about the reason that I was sent this question. I am not an Ohio resident. Flew into and out of Wright-Patterson decades ago.

Pets are legal in every state. Did you have a particular pet in mind? Like an albino Bengal Tiger?

If there is something you think that I might be able to help you with, let me know.

Keep close to Nature's heart... climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean.* Victims of circumstance owe it to fate. Victims of choice owe it to themselves.*One of the widest gaps in human experience is the gap between what we say we want to be and our willingness to discipline ourselves to get there.

Another breed of dog to avopid in Ohi is a cross between an English Mastiff and a small Chinese dog.

It is the Bull-Shi'itzu.

This dog is unique in that it can talk.  It will tell you about political races that his candidate never won, how it won the war singlehandedly, and its fishing tales are especially suspect as they are so very unlikely.

NEVER BELIEVE THIS DOG'S TALES!

There is yet another breed of dog that resulted from -- believe it or not -- a cross breeding experiment with an Albatross!

During its periods of extreme somnolence, this dog can lift off from the living room carpet and float artound the room!  However, never awaken the dog at such times!

"Let sleeping dogs fly!"

The final brteed of dog in tonoght's symposium was bred between a short-legged hunting dog and a Kosher Deli (not to be confused with the Indian city).

This dog is always born with padlocks, hasps, and staples, all over its body and is very popular in Gdansk and Warsaw as it tends to scale bridge supports and light stands!  However, it lives on a diet rich in Neufechtel cheese.

It is the result of crossing a pole-lock, with locks and cream cheese on a Beagle!

The rest of you may take your time to figure it out when you get home.

The state of Ohio does not regulate ordinary pets like cats and dogs.  Ohio does prohibit keeping dangerous wild animals, like mountain lions. Your city might have regulations about how many pets you can have; for example, Cleveland Heights allows two dogs or two cats or one of each, and does not allow wild animals as pets.  There are special regulations for vicious dogs and pit bulls.
