No I don't believe so. I'm sure that there are some tests that need to be done and maybe a limited time in the hospital. However, the end result is in the hands of the judge. Like you said, if the person is not a threat to himself or others, I do not believe that the judge would decide to keep the person in a hospital. Therapy may be decided on though.
