Laptop electrocuting me!

I'm on my laptop a lot. Lately I have been noticing that I feel sparks, almost as if I'm being electrocuted! My friend even said that if she touches me while I'm touching my computer, she can feel the sparks! Is this possible? If it is, then I am worried because it does not seem very healthy!

I suggest you contact your laptop manufacturer. They have policies to work with these kinds of issues (I work for one, so I know). They will surely either repair or replace your laptop at no cost, regardless of your warranty status.

 But hurry and call before it actually turns out to be a security hazard.

Dear Lindseyd,

with electrical appliances it is always possible they may shock you. If I were you I would get it checked out A.S.A.P at either the make of your laptop's company local or any shop dealing with electrical appliances. I hope this helps you with your problem.

That does sound wierd. If I were you either contact a professional or call an electriction but do it fast because this is not at all normal ! =]

Seriously...If you have it plugged in its possible...If you use it on battery...It should be fine...Only a few volts an very low amps...
