You may have accidentally magnified your screen. Find the "Zoom" button (check your toolbar) and check to see if the size is set at 100%. If it's set for something larger, that could be why you're getting that effect.

i can't seem to find the "zoom" button.

I'm not sure where yours will be, when I use Chrome mine is at the top right of my screen in the toolbar (the wrench icon) but when I use Explorer it's at the bottom right corner of my screen. You might try browsing through your toolbar to see if you can find it. Sorry I'm not more help.
